The largest household air-conditioning unit Rube Goldberg machine is 68 steps and was achieved by The World of Domino, Guangdong Midea Refrigeration Plant Company Co., Ltd, and MediaStorm in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, on 29 October 2023. The machine, consisting of 68 air conditioning components and featuring over 70 steps, took more than a month to design and construct, with the goal of activating an air conditioner.
